In 2016, The World Travel & Tourism Council awarded Parkstad Limburg ‘Best Travel Destination in the World’, a designation that the people of Limburg wear with pride. The region owes this reward to its versatile character, with bustling cities, as well as unspoilt forests, idyllic countryside and – last but not least – castles! On this route you will pass Terworm Castle, Meezenbroek Castle and Amstenrade Castle, each with its own unique appearance and all three of them equally beautiful. You will also discover the dramatic ruins of Eyckholt Castle and Schaesberg Castle. 

You reach these castles, while pedalling through the rolling landscape, and on the way, you pass numerous delightful alfresco spots. Hoensbroek Castle has ample parking, from where you can follow the route via junction numbers: 55-54-53-101-48-77-76-35-26-86-27-34-24-84-85-25-93.
