During a guided tour of the Municipal Cave, you will be immersed in the history of Valkenburg aan de Geul.

Discover the origins of the cave and the animals that lived here millions of years ago. Together with the guide, you take an exciting tour through the marl passages and experience how and why they were made. 

Left and right, you will see beautiful sculptures and drawings that you won't get enough of. The guide's interesting stories bring Valkenburg aan de Geul's past back to life. 

At the Municipal Cave, everyone has a choice. This also applies to young visitors. For example, they can take part in the Ranger Challenge.

During the high season, guided tours on foot and by train are offered daily. For special tours, check the website.

The tour is in Dutch, but beyond that you can download a special app in French, German or English.
